Check out The Global Rich List: "Every year we gaze enviously at the lists of the richest people in world. Wondering what it would be like to have that sort of cash. But where would you sit on one of those lists? Here's your chance to find out. Just enter your annual income into the box and hit 'show me the money.'"
Affordable housing has been on my mind lately (thanks, Land Use Planning and Intro to the Built Environment). Why is it so hard for us to take the concrete steps to ensure decent housing within our society, or even just a place to sleep, when we are so fortunate ourselves? Why does it require state supreme court intervention or state fair share mandates for local governments to insist on affordable housing (in the face of local opposition)? I get it but I don't get it at all.
