Hey all,
I'm wondering if folks would be down for drinking Friday, Dec. 12th after finals. Actually I'm sure you will be, but I'm unsure of how many folks will be around.
I am thinking if folks are up for drinking and cool with coming east I'd have a party at my place and we could hit some bars within walking distance as the night progresses... but if Silver Lake is too far we could also meet in the middle, say the Hollywood area, maybe the Cat and the Fiddle.
Thoughts? Suggestions on other middle of town bars...

Kim Walker and I were thinking of throwing a combined first year and second year bash in Venice...
Hollywood/West Hollywood/K-town sounds good to me. Makes more sense to be more centric for sure! I'll talk to Kim about it. Throw in your suggestions everybody!
You know, if any of you are brave enough to come out on the day BEFORE, on Thursday, we could wander over to Barney's Beanery in Santa Monica, in time to partake in its weekly Guitar Hero tournament. I haven't been since the quarter started. But it's fun. Even if you suck at Guitar Hero (like me), there is a pool table and other games. Plus, there is free booze (for the duration of the tournament). It starts at about 9:30 or 10.
I'm in!
I'm in for some midtown revelry... if anyone remembers our old presidential debate haunt of Busby's, they have a location in the Miracle Mile area... otherwise I'm at a loss for specific places...
Happy Thanksgiving, btw...
Koreatown would be a fun time. We've got a large terrace at our apartment that has hosted a few parties in it's day. It's near the Western / Wilshire intersection and is a nice hub for going out to several of LA's finest watering holes:
- Frank + Hank's
- The Bounty
- Brass Monkey (in the basement of a parking garage!)
What do ya think? I'll also mention it to Kim to see how we could "collaboratively plan" this venture.
How could I forget about the HMS Bounty! I love that place!
but Sirinya's idea for Barney's Beanery could be fun too - I do love all the games in the back.
Caroline - what have you and Kim discussed? I don't want there to be any competing drinking plans or to step on anyones toes... so let us know what you all have going.
i'm down for whatever, i will definitely be ready for some good drinking and saving money for my taxi ride home :)
